He works for a long time in the workshops of the Grande Chaumière in Paris, while never received real official teaching. Back from the war in 1940, he discovered Van Gogh and Gauguin. It was however to Renoir and Bonnard that he feels a decisive enthusiasm. He contemplates and studies their paintings. In Paris, he exhibited at the ephemeral fair in the Thirty years, at the Autumn Salon of which he was appointed member in 1938, at the May Salon. In 1946-47, he participated in the group “Le Noir is a color”, presented at the Maeght gallery in Paris by Jacques Kober. He rubs shoulders with Braque, Matisse, Bonnard, Manessier, Rouault, Geer Van de Velde, Atlan, etc.Around 1950, he abandoned the exhibitions, but continued to work. In 1953, he collaborated with Braque in the realization of the three ceilings in the Salle des Etrusques at the Palais du Louvre. He resumed the exhibitions around 1960. from 1962, he exhibited at the Salon of new realities of which he became a member in 1967. He also participated in other collective exhibitions abroad: “French art” in Warsaw in 1948; “French art” in Charlottenborg in 1950; “Twelve French painters” twelve American painters “in New York;” Young Painters “in 1952 in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow; in 1964 and 1966, Biennale de Menton; in 1965,” Homage to Braque “in Paris.Pierre Pallut also shows his works in personal exhibitions. The first took place in 1948 at the Maeght gallery in Paris. It was followed by many other exhibitions: in 1970, May Dieu cultural center in Paris; In 1972, in London, Prudhoe Gallery; In 1974, in Paris, Streaming Gallery; In 1976, Monique Delcourt in Valenciennes; In 1977, Galerie du Centaure, in Cannes; In 1982, Galerie Coard in Paris; In 1989, 1990 and 1994, in Paris, Galerie Lambert Rouland. In 1946, the Young Painting Prize, awarded for the first time, was awarded to Pierre Pallut. Also for its first award, the Fénéon Prize was awarded to him in 1949.Pierre Pallut paints still lifes and portraits, noticed for the distinction of their colorful ranges. He also produced wall decorations, such as the Mosaic at La Ciotat produced in 1971, at the Cannet nursery school in 1976.Pierre Pallut’s work is divided into his continuity. from 1948, the painter made a sudden evolution towards abstraction. However, despite the abandonment of the form, his abstract work is distinguished by a delicacy which remains from the first period of the painter and which can be qualified as post-impressionism. from Klee, Pierre Pallut retains freedom of language but does not forget Renoir. In this second period, he nevertheless pursues the iridescents of his own inner vision, abstract now. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution less
